A busy month for ROCK and a HEART PLACE. Read the reviews.

We had our most concentrated efforts in outreach take place this month. In one week, we were in Huntsville, Alabama and Tallahassee, Florida as well as exhibiting at the NJ Volunteerism Conference.

In both Alabama and Florida, we participated in local volunteer centers' Leadership in Service Learning seminars for high school students. The film was used to set the tone of the class, and inspire the students to focus their efforts in creating a service learning example for their community.

At the NJ Conference, we met numerous volunteer professionals who were introduced to ROCK and a HEART PLACE for the first time. Their enthusiasm for the film was so positive, we decided to make it available through the website.

UPCOMING EVENTS
In our process to meet, network and spread the word about the film, its mission and timeliness, we've connected with a number of individuals who are catching our enthusiasm for ROCK and a HEART PLACE.

Recently, we held a screening for 7th and 8th graders at Resurrection School in Jersey City. According to school principal Sr. Eleanor, the students enjoyed the film and it fit right into the Life Skills program taught at the school. As quoted from the faculty: "This documentary can move your heart. Seeing ordinary people doing extraordinary things is inspiring." While another faculty member commented: "Thank you for informing and inspiring and motivating us through ROCK and a HEART PLACE."

Additional screenings are to be held during the next few months at locations to be determined. These screenings will showcase the film to those who have yet to see it, interest backers, garner donations, and continue the outreach for corporate and community sponsorship of film.  Watch this space for specific times and dates.

ROCK and a HEART PLACE has been entered into over 20 national and international film festivals and we are awaiting word on our submissions.
